The Porteña
Marina Izaguirre
I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, the birthplace and beating heart of tango. For more than ten years, I have danced, studied, and explored tango in its many forms.
I hold a degree in Tango Interpretation from UNA, the National University of the Arts, where I deepened my understanding of tango as music, movement, culture, and artistic expression.
I am passionate about tango in its musical form and about movement as a force of transformation—of oneself and of the person one embraces. For me, the embrace is a language through which we listen to and interpret the music and poetry of tango.
In my dancing, I express more than rhythm. I carry my origins, my culture, my past, and my present.
